Bernardo Joao , ambassador of Angola to China and his four-member entourage visited CUST on April 11th . President Zheng Jianlong and Vice President Fu Hongyuan in the accompany of Ms. Xie Lifang, Deputy Director of the International Exchange Division of CUST and Mr. Li Gang,General Manager of China Road and Bridge Corporation had a cordial meeting with them on Yuntang campus.
President Zheng firstly expressed his sincere gratitude to Mr. Ambassador for his visit to Hunan Province. After that President Zheng started to introduce CUST in detail such as its history, development, strengths as well as its cooperation with other universities. President Zheng particularly talked about the life and study of Angolan students in CUST. Mr. Ambassador paid tribute to our school for its efforts to create such a good living and learning environment for Angolan students. He also expressed his willingness to take this opportunity to promote the educational and cultural exchanges between CUST and universities of Angola. After the meeting, Mr. Ambassador and his entourage also visited the beautiful campus with great interests.
During the visit, Mr. Ambassador and his entourage also went to see Angolan students living on Jinpenling campus. He encouraged the students to study hard and learn more about Chinese culture so as to make more contributions to the development of Angola and the exchange and cooperation between China and Angola .
