Students of CSUST Won the Second Prize of the 23rd “FLTRP·ETIC Cup” National English Debating Competition

Recently, the 23rd “FLTRP·ETIC Cup” National English Debating Competition drew to a successful end. Wang Xiyao, an English major undergraduate of grade 2018 and Li Zeping, a translation major undergraduate of grade 2019, coached by Wang Haoping from the School of Foreign Studies of CSUST, won the second prize of the national English debating competition.


 “FLTRP·ETIC Cup” National English Debating Competition is jointly organized by Beijing Foreign Studies University, Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, China Language Assessment and other institutions. It is currently the largest and most influential national English debate competition in China. Over recent years, our university has attached great importance to improving the quality of undergraduate education and encouraged them to participate in different contests so as to strengthen communication and improve themselves in an all-round way. Since 2018, students from the School of Foreign Studies of CSUST have won the national awards in this competition for three consecutive years (suspended in 2020), including one national first prize and two second prizes.
