I. Basic Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

 

  1. Foreign Students from countries along the Belt and Road;

  2. Physically and mentally healthy, with good character and academic performance;

  3. High school education or above, and have completed the previous stage of study;

  4. For high school graduates, age should not exceed 24 years; for bachelor's degree holders, age should not exceed 34 years; for master's degree holders, age should not exceed 38 years;

  5. Language requirements: Preference will be given to applicants with a Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 2. If lacking Chinese proficiency, English proficiency must meet TOEFL 68+/IELTS 5.5+/Duolingo 85+, or be a native or official language speaker of English;

  6. Only new students are accepted; students already studying in China are not eligible.

 

    II. Categories and Duration of Study

 

    Full-time Chinese language students, with a study period of one academic year (September 2024 - July 2025).

 

    III. Application Materials

 

  1.Register online and complete the application form (website: https://csust.17gz.org/);

  2. Highest education certificate, if not in Chinese or English, must be translated into Chinese or English and notarized;

  3. Academic transcripts, if not in Chinese or English, must be translated into Chinese or English and notarized;

  4. Passport first page;

  5. Certificate of no criminal record;

  6. Proof of language proficiency (HSK or TOEFL/IELTS/Duolingo score report);

  7. Proof of financial support;

  8. Completed Physical Examination Record for Foreigners (see attachment for blank form and instructions), issued within three months before submission.

 

    IV. Scholarship

 

    Our university will be conducted a comprehensive assessment of applicants and select outstanding candidates; outstanding candidates will be provided with conditional entrance scholarships. Scholarship eligibility will be canceled for those who fail the entrance physical examination, withdraw midway, fail to report on time without permission, or suspend their studies.

 

    V. Other Notes

 

  1. Application deadline: July 13, 2024;

  2. Applicants who pass the preliminary review will be notified separately about the interview time;

  3. The specific enrollment date will be specified in the Admission Notice. Failure to complete enrollment procedures on time will result in disqualification;

  4. Mailing fees are borne by the applicant. Only personal applications are accepted (please ensure detailed and accurate recipient address);

  5. Those admitted will be assessed after completing one semester of Chinese language study. Outstanding students will be recommended to start undergraduate/graduate studies at our university in September 2025.
